For optimal growth, Camellia 'Sea Foam' should be planted in the fall or spring, allowing its root system to establish before the extreme temperatures of summer or winter arrive. Select a location with filtered shade or morning sun and afternoon shade, as Camellias are sensitive to direct sunlight. This variety prefers well-draining, acidic soil with a pH between 5.5-6.5.
