The Double Red Knock Out Rose adds a vibrant pop of color to any garden. It is a preferred choice for gardeners of all ages due to its hardiness and low maintenance needs. This particular variety of red rose is not only beautiful, but it also adds a classic and charming touch to your outdoor space. Additionally, the continuous blooms from spring to the first frost make it a top choice for landscaping. To ensure its health, make sure to regularly water, fertilize, and provide enough sunlight.

Care:

Grow the Double Red Knockout Rose in full to partial sun, providing at least 6-8 hours of sun daily to produce rich blooms. Plant it in well-drained, moist soil and water when the top 3 inches become dry. For best growth, use chalky or loam soil with a neutral pH level. When planting, dig a hole twice as wide as the original container and at the same depth. Space each shrub at least 3 feet apart for proper root development. In containers, use a container twice the size of the original. Transplant during dormancy in late winter or early spring and water deeply at the roots. Add 2-3 inches of mulch for cooler, moist roots. While fertilizing is not necessary, a balanced slow-release fertilizer can be used to boost growth. Wait until after the first bloom to fertilize, making sure soil is moist to avoid root burn. Avoid fertilizing in late summer to allow for dormancy. Feed in early

Uses in the Landscape:

As a gardener of all ages, the Double Red Knockout Rose is ideal for small spaces or as hedges along paths. It thrives in containers and can also serve as a focal point in small beds or border larger beds. Use it in masses or as a backdrop for other perennials. Add a touch of curb appeal to your landscape by planting this shrub along entryways. Not only is it non-toxic and low maintenance, but it also attracts butterflies and is resistant to both disease and heat. Suitable for zones 4-9.
