This selection is grown for its deep bluish-purple flowers. Native to the Southeastern United States, it grows 20-30' feet tall and 20-30' feet wide. Wisteria will thrive in most zones 4-9 and is very easy to grow. Its elegant six inch long, rich bluish-lavender cascading racemes cover the vine in the late spring and early summer. Equally beautiful as the flowers are the magnificent, exposed vines in the winter. Our Wisteria is custom grown into a well sturdy vine! It will grow stronger each year and bloom heavier as time goes on.

The one of kind purple Wisteria vine has been trained to grow into a straight, single stem specimen that can be planted as a center focal point of your garden. Purple Wisteria is a fast grower that will fill in or climb your structures in only one season. Kept trimmed, your vine will thicken and become an umbrella of purple, grapelike flowers that will turn heads, providing color and shade.

Large 12" Bluish - purple flowers are unlike any other Wisteria selections. Glossy green leaves offer beauty and cover from unwanted areas in the Garden. Trained on trellises, Purple Wisteria will shade you from Spring to Fall quickly for maximum comfort. 

Care

Soil tolerant, Wisteria can handle most soils, even in dry conditions. Water and fertilize using our SR-18-5-10 slow release fertilizer to maximize growth and promote good health. Remove any low branches to keep maximum energy directed to the growth of the vine. In year 2, repeat as needed, continuing to develop the direction you wish your vine to grow.

Our processing time usually is 1-3 days after receiving the order. Orders taken after 4:00 pm on Wednesday through Sunday will be shipped the following Monday.

A nominal oversize package fee will be added to this item at check out.
